There are words I can use and define and say in my brain yet I’m always terrified of saying them out loud for fear that I’ll end up pronouncing them incorrectly.

yes but do I just look up every word I’ve ever learned through writing that way? Besides, I’ll never remember.

TRUTH

Yup.  The only word I can think of off the top of my head is demesnes.  I don’t even know how I would have pronounced it, but it’s said like “demain”
